2018 has started with the release of some amazing products and the hype around Makeup Revolution’s Conceal & Define Concealer has been insane!
There’s been a great deal of hype surrounding this product and it’s rumoured to be a much cheaper, dupe/alternative to the highly loved, coveted Tarte Shape Tape Concealer £22 that is highly popular in the USA and within the worldwide beauty community.
People have been whisking this off the shelves at a crazy speed, so much so it’s hard to get most shades at Superdrug stores or online so you have to go to the umbrella company Tam Beauty for the concealer. Using the umbrella company you are assured that there’s more chance of your shade being available and shipping is very fast and reasonably priced.
There are 18 shades available in the Conceal & Define Concealer
It shows that brands do not have to have the backing of someone like Rihanna to make a product that is inclusive in terms of both skin tone and undertones. Obviously there are so many skin tones so hopefully this will be the beginning of a product line that will grow to offer an ever wider variation in the future.
The design is very sleek and modern with the clear plastic and rose gold which gives it a high-end feel to it which I love. Call me weird but I love it when makeup has packaging that looks great whilst it’s in your makeup vanity or even in your makeup bag. If it looks good your bound to feel more positive about the product!
This concealer has a huge doe foot applicator which allows you to apply a good coverage without constantly dipping back into the tube so a single dip gets a lot of product.
The consistency is a creamy thick cream that applies a medium to full coverage with 1/2 swipes. It’s great for under eyes as the thickness gives good even application and if you set it straight away and leave it to bake you can get a really nice finish. It doesn’t crease a great deal and it covers spots really well.
It also works well as out of a cream contouring routine and blends out really well to highlight the contour and define the area!
If you want a super full coverage concealer to hide intense blemishes or deep scarring another Tam Beauty Company, Freedom Makeup London have a brilliant Camouflage paste £1.50 aswell as a colour correcting paste that is incredible for those who want a super full coverage or to even out skin tone.
This concealer is so affordable it’s crazy how high quality it is! I’ve been using it everyday and I’ve discovered that even on bad skin days the Conceal & Define Concealer , set with powder gives me enough coverage to feel confident without using a heavy foundation and a full face of makeup. With a quick coat of mascara this product makes it a much quicker, fresher daytime look for me!
