Quiz have teamed up with the cast of The Only way is Essex to create a spring/summer collection for both men and women. The likes of Chloe Lewis, Lauren Pope and Dan Edgar are always up on the latest trends so Quiz saw an opportunity to bring their style to the brand.
When I first saw an article about this collaboration I wasn’t sure it would be my type of thing and I had imagined of very little fabric, gaudy glitzy detailing and abit OTT for us ‘normal’ folks.
However I put my hands up, I apologise and I admit I made a quick judgement before looking further into it.
I’m so surprised at how beautiful the collection is. What has really impressed me is that they’d taken a group of patterns, stripes, spots, floral and tropical and made mini collections so there is bound to be something within the mini’s that would be your style. There is nothing in the range that’s really out there and it’s been kept relatively simple which makes it very appealing.
I wanted to select a few of my favourites but there are so many that I really like do I had a hard time choosing!
If you like a particular print I’ve included bits worth checking the site out as they have multiple pieces within most of the prints!
This Mustard Jumpsuit is such a versatile piece. Dressed up with heels for an evening out or dress it down with a pair of sandals for the daytime. Shades of yellow are huge this spring/ summer and this rich tone is absolutely beautiful!
This pink stripe print is pretty bold but I really think a lot of people could wear it confidently and look incredible. There are two styles of trousers which means both tall and short women have style choices! It comes in this Crop Top £19.99 and Palazzo Trousers £24.99. Aswell as Culottes Trousers £19.99.
It wouldn’t be a summer collection without a take on a tropical print and of course Quiz doesn’t disappoint. This range has a really pretty tropical print that is both bright without being too overpowering.
The Tropical Jumpsuit £32.99 is very feminine and features bandeau top with grill detail and a wide leg to make sure you keep chic on those summer evenings and the if the jumpsuit isn’t for you there is this super cute Frill detail skirt £19.99. Paired with a white top to break up the print a little or worn with the matching Frill detailed Crop Top £16.99. Alternatively you could wear the crop Top with some simple linen trousers which would look as stylish.
My overall impression of this collection is that it’s been very well thought out. It seems like the designers have taken elements of the Towie casts personal styles and created a range that is wearable for the public. If you’ve watched the show you probably know that a lot of the outfits and styles worn by the cast can often be pretty racy and revealing and my fear when I saw this collab was that it wasn’t going to appeal to consumers. But I think a lot of items that will work for different shapes and sizes and making different styles within each print is great.
A selection of this range come in sizes 6-18 which isn’t incredibly assessable to everybody but it’s a good start I guess.
If you are a fan of Towie or you’re just looking for some pieces that are a little different to the high street I’d highly suggest checking out this collab.
